Winter sports on the Wurmberg – variety and comfort

Look forward to powder-white blankets of snow and unforgettable winter sports fun in the largest and most snow-sure region in northern Germany. Whether you are a beginner or a pro – the slopes on the Wurmberg offer just as much variety with their different levels of difficulty as the diverse nature around Braunlage. Even the ride on the ski lift is an experience, as you get closer and closer to the top of the Wurmberg and the view becomes more impressive step by step.

Cross-country skiers, tobogganists, snowboarders and alpine skiers will find ideal conditions on the perfectly groomed slopes of the largest ski mountain in the Harz. A total of 13 varied downhill kilometers are waiting to be conquered by you. The longest of the 14 pistes leads from the almost 1,000-metre-high hilltop past the striking Wurmbergschanze and over the famous Hexenritt – a whole 4.3 kilometers downhill to idyllic Braunlage.

Our ski cellar and a modern ski boot dryer are available to ensure that your equipment is well looked after. So you can start your next snow adventure every day with warm, dry boots and safely stored equipment.

So what are you waiting for? Pack your equipment and set off on a winter adventure you won’t soon forget!

The spacious ice surface offers ideal conditions – from elegant pirouettes to action-packed power skating. The home games of the regional ice hockey club are particularly impressive and regularly provide real goosebump moments in the stands.
